7 day diet plan is an efficient diet for weight loss. Over the past years, the 7 day diet has proven its effectiveness in burning fat and toning the body. One of my friends has recently tried this diet, and you know me – I wouldn’t be writing about it if it wasn’t THAT great!
The diet lasts only 7 days, and it’s not one of those mono diets that exhausts your body by the end of the diet. Another great advantage of the 7 day diet is that it’s affordable for everyone. According to reviews of those who have tried the diet, you can lose from 10 to 20 pounds in just a week. Have you ever heard of such wonders with a diet that lasts only 7 days?
As for my friend who tried the 7 day diet, he managed to lose 14 pounds and felt wonderful after finishing the diet. Moreover, he is looking forward to doing the same diet in a month or so. His weight loss plan looks like that: a week of the 7 day diet, a month of rigorous physical activity and a regular diet that doesn’t allow him to overeat, one more week of the 7 day diet, and the cycle can repeat over and over again until he achieves lean, toned and chiseled physique.
However, don’t think of the 7 day diet as a cure for weight loss. It’s still not recommended to abuse the diet no matter how effective and healthy it seems. Besides, you’ll need to prepare for the diet beforehand: if you have gastritis, colitis or kidney disorders, it’s best to avoid this diet.
The 7 day diet is a diet plan, in which each day is dedicated to some particular product category. Depending on the caloric intake of the diet, you must also follow a physical activity plan, which will complement the process of burning fat.
7 day diet plan
Day 1: Drinking water, teas and sipping on soups the whole day.
Day 2: Vegetable day. Tomatoes, celery, salad, cucumbers, onions, carrots, pepper… and other vegetables. Eat ‘em veggies the whole day.
Day 3: Drinking water, teas and sipping on soups the whole day.
Day 4: Fruits day. Eat any fruits you love: apples, oranges, bananas, and don’t forget to include grapefruits and kiwis, both of which are natural fat-burners.
Day 5: Protein day. Make sure you include fish, eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese and chicken without the skin. Eat 4-5 small meals per day.
Day 6: Drinking water, teas and sipping on soups the whole day.
Day 7: Balanced diet day. It’s a day to transit from the more or less strict diet to the balanced eating. Throughout the day, you’re allowed to eat 3 boiled eggs, vegetable and fruit salads, chicken fillet, and soup, adding a little bit of salt to eliminate excess water from the body.
A stricter version of 7 day diet plan
Day 1 and Day 2: Drinking kefir (or yogurt) and water in large quantities the whole day.
Day 3: Apples day. If you are not exactly passionate about apples, you can replace them with oranges. Also, drink lots of fluids to neutralize the acidity of apples or oranges.
Day 4, 5 and 6: Chicken days. Eat boiled chicken without the skin and drink lots of water.
Day 7: Alcohol day. Sounds fun already, doesn’t it? Drink dry wine and eat cheese throughout the day. It must be about 30 g of cheese per glass of wine. You should also take supplement vitamins and minerals in pills or capsules.

Healthy tips and reviews
According to thousands of reviews of people who have tried this diet, it’s pretty effective and in most cases, it really helps get rid of excess weight. Just like in any other diet, the hardest part is to get through the first day. That’s why there are no restrictions in regards to the caloric intake of the diet.
It is also recommended to limit physical activity and abandon weight training and any other rigorous training when following the 7 day diet, as you risk developing such symptoms as dizziness, nausea and exhaustion.
It is also recommended to drink chicken broth during the drinking days to not snap and break the diet. One more tip for the drinking days – give up artificial juices and sweetened drinks. You must eat regularly during the fruits days, every 2-3 hours in order to prevent monstrous hunger.
In the proteins day, it is recommended to eat chicken meat, fish, shrimps, egg whites, since eating lots of cottage cheese or yogurt may reduce the effectiveness of the diet (it happens due to the ability of lactose to retain the fluids). It is also recommended to drink no less than 2 liters of water per day.
After finishing the 7 day diet, you shouldn’t eat everything indiscriminately. The breakfast the next day after finishing the diet may include two boiled eggs, the lunch – chicken broth or some other soup, and the dinner – salad. You can snack on fruits throughout the day.
As a result of the 7 day diet, the overall loss of fat tissue amounts up to 2%, but in order to maintain the result and burn some extra pounds, you should limit the caloric intake of your regular diet for the next month.
It is recommended to avoid floury and sweet foods. If you know other products that result in extra pounds on your body, avoid them as well. However, do not make your body suffer in order to achieve some ‘perfect’ results. Trust me, there is no such thing as ‘perfect’.
Contradictions
You must consult your physician before starting the diet. You cannot follow the 7 day diet if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, if you’re hypertonic, if you have diabetes, if you have disorders of the digestive tract, if you do too much physical activity, if you have depression, if you have kidney or heart issues, if you’ve just undergone surgical operation on the organs of the abdomen.
Recommendations from nutrition experts
- Some nutrition experts do not recommend to include chicken broth into the diet, explaining it that it has too much salt and fats.
- Nutrition experts recommend swapping the vegetable and fruits days, since, according to them, it’s easier to start the diet with fruits.
- Nutrition experts also recommend replacing cabbage with broccoli, which has great fat-burning properties.
- In order to maximize the results of the 7 day diet, consume protein foods (eggs, yogurt, chicken) in separate meals.
When I googled reviews of the 7 day diet, I stumbled across all kinds of reviews and opinions. But there’s one thing to note: most people don’t realize that all (with no exception) weight loss diets are designed for people with excess weight. If your weight is normal (or exceeds the norm by a pound of two), you shouldn’t have your expectations too high with this diet.
Also, keep in mind the consequences of any diet that promotes weight loss: you may get dizzy when following the diet, while, if you don’t follow all recommendations, the lost weight may return. It’s also worth noting that such a diet lowers the metabolism.
However, the benefits of the 7 day diet are obvious: rapid weight loss and cleansing of the whole body.
Let me know in the comment section below the results of the 7 day diet and let’s discuss the things you do in order to maintain the weight after finishing the diet.
